A Taste Of Dublin

One of Dublins best foodie events will be taking place at the Iveagh Gardens from June 13th to 16th. Don't know what to wear? Fashion Blogger Lorna Weightman has provided some top fashion tips when attending Food Festivals!

Hello hats!

A summer must have accessory is the hat, and there is no more appropriate time to wear something like a bowler or panama style hat than at a food festival where chic style is always welcome what ever the weather. Summer hats add elegance to even the most casual of outifts, and there are plenty of styles to choose from this season.

Flat shoes are your friend!

Although there are plenty of designated walkways throughout the festivals, ensure you are wearing comfortable shoes (flats or wedges are recommended) so you can casually stroll among the stands.

Wedge heel sandals available for €20 in Heatons.

Keep rainproof!

With Irish weather being changeable to say the least, and with most food festivals being located out of doors, remember to bring a waterproof jacket with a hood to keep you dry in case of some summer showers!

You can grab this Parka Jacket from Marks & Spencers.

Accessories

Bangles, earrings and necklaces can make a real statement; whether you are in your favourite weekend t-shirt or your most stylish blouse, adding some bling can bring an outfit to life. Try stacking bangles, of  various styles and colours, along your arm - one of my favourite tips for summer. As you sip your prosecco, watch the bangles catch the light.

Sunnies, the must have accessory
Sunglasses are the icing on the cake for ever summer outfit. From large lensed designer styles, to the newest trend of aviators, opt for a frame that flatters the shape of your face. And try some colours, like white or even a printed frame!
